Kylie A. Peppler is a doctoral candidate in the Urban Schooling Program at the UCLA Graduate School of Education and Information Sciences (GSEIS). She was recently awarded a Spencer Dissertation Fellowship for the 2006-2007 academic year for her dissertation titled, Creative Bytes: Literacy and Learning in the Media Arts Practices of Urban Youth. Kylie is interested in research related to arts education, media, literacy, and new technologies.
